Silicon Valley Poltergeist

April 12, 2024 @ 7:00 pm9:00 pm

In mid-June, 2020, a family in Silicon Valley contacted Loyd Auerbach about disturbances in their home. Objects in their kitchen, a blender and cell phone, seemed to move across the room when nobody was around. They began hearing loud knocking sounds in their house, and electrical appliances seemed to malfunction. Liquids and other matter were appearing in the hallways, and food, sweets, and beverages seemed to appear and reappear in different locations around the house.

What they were describing were typical poltergeist phenomena that was occurring in the midst of the lockdown for the COVID-19 virus. All four members of the family were forced into close proximity for the first time in many years, and it seemed that something about the situation had triggered what parapsychologists might consider unconscious PK activity that was the result of suppressed emotions.

Paranormal investigator, Loyd Auerbach, and counsellor, Beth Hedva, PhD, spent the next few months exploring this case remotely because they could not physically visit the location. Auerbach and Hedva will discuss their approach toward a remote investigation of a poltergeist and the effects of their educational and counselling work to help the family to manage their experience.

This is a unique and interesting story that is published in the current issue of the Journal of Parapsychology (www.parapsychologypress.org).
